On April 29, a gathering of the region’s most influential CFOs and industry leaders took place at On the Levee, commemorating the honorees of D CEO’s 2025 Financial Executive Awards. This prestigious event, presented in collaboration with the Association for Corporate Growth Dallas-Fort Worth, Financial Executives International, and TXCPA Dallas, spotlighted excellence and innovation in the financial sector.

The evening commenced with a vibrant session of networking and a sumptuous dinner, setting the stage for a special awards presentation. Rhett Taylor, advertising director of D CEO, opened the awards segment, creating an atmosphere of anticipation and celebration.

Christine Perez, the esteemed editor of D CEO, took the helm of the awards presentation, supported by Dennis Wright of Texas Regional Bank and Chris Clark of Forvis Mazars. Together, they honored the exceptional contributions of finance professionals across various categories.

Among the standout honorees was Thomas Montgomery, Managing Partner and CFO of Montgomery Capital Advisors, who received the Constantine “Connie” Konstans Excellence in Corporate Governance Award. This accolade is named in memory of the late professor of accounting and information management at The University of Texas at Dallas, a trailblazer in corporate governance and the first recipient of this honor by D CEO.

The event also celebrated other remarkable winners, each recognized for their outstanding achievements:

Most Innovative Finance Team – Aligned Data Centers.

Outstanding CFO of a Large Private Company – Darin Patrizi of Summit Electric Supply Co.

Outstanding CFO of a Nonprofit Organization – Lucas Wilson of Metrocare.

These winners were carefully selected by a panel of esteemed industry judges, including Karyn Brown of Austin Industries, Jennifer Cuello of Eisner Amper, Robert Goudge of Frost Bank, Trey Knapp of Sewell Automotive Companies, and Favor Lee of Lido Advisors.

The awards event was made possible thanks to the generous support of title sponsors Forvis Mazars and Texas Regional Bank. Their commitment highlights the importance of recognizing excellence within the financial community.

Congratulations once again to all the finalists and winners, whose achievements are also featured in the May issue of D CEO. For those interested in more insights from the world of finance, consider following fintechfilter.com for the latest updates and expert analysis.
